2014 GE® Monogram® $150,000 Dream Kitchen Design Contest

GE is proud to announce the Monogram $150,000 Dream Kitchen Design Contest. We're giving away $150,000 USD in cash prizes, and all you have to do is put your imagination to work to design a gorgeous kitchen using GE Monogram appliances. You could win up to $25,000 USD, plus gain national exposure through recognition at the awards ceremony and GE marketing. Contest rules are simple and straightforward, giving you carte blanche to pursue your creative vision.

Deadline for Entry: All submissions must be received by March 31, 2015.
Open to all kitchen designers, architects, professional builders and remodelers in the US & Canada*.

Winner Selection

Winners will be announced at the 2015 Dwell on Design show.

Judging Criteria

Individuals selected to judge the contest are professionals in the design industry.

Entries will be judged on the following criteria:

  • Visual appeal
  • Creativity
  • Innovation
  • Overall kitchen workflow
  • Design elements/principles
  • Integration of GE Monogram® brand appliances
    GE Monogram primary cooking appliance and refrigerator are required

Designs must have been designed and constructed between January 1, 2014 and March 30, 2015.

The 2014 GE® Monogram® $150,000 Dream Kitchen Design Contest is open to all kitchen designers, architects, professional builders and remodelers in the US & Canada (excluding residents of Quebec) who are 21 years or older.

Up to 3 entries may be submitted (1 per category) by the same entrant/entrants, but each design submission must be submitted separately.

Each Contest Entry must contain the following:

Completed official entry form

A USB flash drive, CD or DVD that includes all of the following:

  • Floor plan (PDF format required)
  • Drawings with elevation or regular
    perspective (PDF format)
  • Color photos of completed design
    Minimum 3; maximum 10
    300 dpi
    RGB color
    JPEG format
    Minimum 10 inches wide.
    Regardless of the actual number of photographs submitted as the Contest Entry, the Contest Entry must show at least two GE Monogram appliances, consisting of at least one primary cooking appliance and one refrigerator.
    The same photograph cannot be used for more than one Contest Entry.
    For best representation of your design, we recommend the use of a professional photographer.

Brief design statement/project overview (no more than 500 words)

Designer or firm name must NOT appear on any design plans, statements or photographs.
