Kevin says this project has been a long time coming and that years of dreaming went into the design. Seeing his winning design, you’d never know this kitchen was previously extremely dated, very small, with a low ceiling and situated in the midst of a confusing configuration of adjoining rooms.

Kevin’s design required gutting the entire area. The ceiling height remains the same, but the ceiling itself was expanded into the adjacent room and given a dramatic curved edge. That same curve is reflected in the bar area below it. “Floating” bar stools are supported by stainless steel posts incorporated into a glass block wall lit from within and topped with the same granite used on the island and countertops. Kevin says he fell in love with the Monogram® 36" side-by-side refrigerators years ago. Thusly inspired, he designed his kitchen to include only Monogram appliances.
